Differences between restricted, prohibited and safety zones for the X-series robotic lawnmower

Modified on Mon, 17 Mar at 10:51 AM

To optimally adjust the mowing area, you can define different zones for your robotic lawnmower in the app.

1. No-go zone

Description: A no-go zone is an area that the mowing robot should completely avoid. It will never enter this zone.

Examples of use:

  • Islands in the lawn with flowerbeds or decorations
  • play areas or sensitive areas that should not be driven over

2. Prohibited zone

Description: A prohibited zone is an area that the robotic lawnmower only does not drive over in the night mowing mode. During the day, it works there normally.

Examples of use:

  • Areas where animals are to be protected at night
  • A neighborhood-friendly solution to reduce noise at night

3. Safe zone

Description: In a safe zone, the robotic lawnmower ignores certain surfaces that it would otherwise recognize as obstacles. This allows it to continue mowing unhindered without constantly having to swerve.

Examples of use:

  • Areas with manhole covers or lawn grids
  • Bare spots that the sensor would otherwise incorrectly identify as obstacles
